School Bookings Alternative Provision Workshops These workshops are based around the prevent objectives, designed to help safeguard students around some of the things they may encounter online. The workshops are divided into three parts, each section covering a specific topic. Part 1: Radicalisation This explores what radicalisation looks like, how this looks in the world today and how it all links to the work we do at the holocaust around education. The workshop includes questions, activities and videos to encourage a discussion-based workshop with the students. Part 2: Extremism This looks at the definition of extremism, and with a mix of video and discussion questions we will explore with the student’s what impact this can have on communities and society. In this workshop the students will be given a scenario followed by either 4 or 5 questions. This is to get the students to look deeper at the critical thinking behind the scenario. It also looks at the world today and is linked back to the holocaust looking at how propaganda can have an impact on the way that people may think and behave. Part 3: Responsibility This workshop explores the holocaust and who was responsible for the killing of 6 million Jews. This workshop also includes activity-based discussions. They will then hear testimony from some of the survivors of the holocaust. They will then look at how radicalisation and extremism fit in to the holocaust and how.
