Breaking the Cycle - addressing prejudicial behaviour

This is a learning programme that is designed for those aged 9 to 17 and is aimed at addressing prejudicial behaviours.

The programme is funded by the Safer Nottinghamshire Board*. In order for a young person to participate in this programme they require a referral from:

  • The Courts
  • Police
  • Youth Offending Teams [YOT]
  • Schools
  • Housing Officers
  • Local Authorities (ASB Manager, Community Protection Officer etc.)

To refer a young person, please select a date from below and complete the required fields.

*To refer a young person outside of Nottinghamshire there is a £40 charge. Please also fill out the form and we can contact you to arrange payment.

The programme comprises of the following sessions:

Session 1

  1. Prior to teaching this session book a place for the participant[s] on one of the courses under Session 2.
  2. This session should be completed one week prior to attending Session 2. 
  3. This session is to be facilitated by the adult referring the young person on to the programme e.g. school teacher, YOT. To deliver this workshop you will need to download the following documents:

  • Handout 1.2 - Myth Busting Quiz
  • Handout 1.3 - Definitions
  • Handout 1.4 - Effects of my Behaviour [Facilitator Example]

Session 2

If you would like to book a place for the young person under your care at The National Holocaust Centre & Museum, please book on to one of the following dates:

10th February 2020 Session is now fully booked 
16th March 2020 Book Now

Session 3

  1. This session should be completed within one week of attending Session 2. 
  2. This session is to be facilitated by the adult referring the young person on to the programme e.g. school teacher, YOT. To deliver this workshop you will need to download the following documents:
