The Forever Project Anti-Jewish racism is resurgent and Holocaust denial is on the rise. The testimony of those who were there is crucial. But Holocaust survivors will not always be with us. This is why we created The Forever Project — an award-winning interactive experience that lets you not just watch a survivor talk, but have a question & answer session with one. Even when they are no longer alive. Ask a question and their digital projection will answer you from a vast set of pre-filmed replies. This is a very careful use of AI and voice recognition technology which we first developed in 2013. Today, the Mark III version of The Forever Project contains stunning conversational experiences with 11 different Holocaust survivors. They span the full range of Holocaust survival experiences. Extermination, concentration and slave labour camps. Hidden Children. Kindertransport and other refugee experiences. Our survivors hail from Ukraine, Poland, Hungary, Germany, Austria, Czechoslovakia (as it then was), Belgium and the Netherlands. What's more, you can ask them questions about their pre and post-Holocaust lives. This helps us understand both the enormity of what they lost, and the steps they took to rebuild their lives as refugees in Britain. These are human beings with incredible stories and pearls of wisdom aplenty. They are also great friends of the National Holocaust Museum - or 'Beth Shalom' as they like to call us, the 'House of Peace'. It was here that they and many other survivors became firm friends with the Smith family, our Christian founders. The Smiths made their farmhouse a second home to hundreds of Holocaust survivors living in Britain. We are proud that the bond between them has played a real part in their post-Holocaust story. This is unique in the field of Holocaust testimony. You can ask each of the survivors about it in The Forever Project.
