Photograph of Bernard Grunberg's father, taken in 1938.

This photograph forms part of the Bernard Grunberg collection. It was taken in 1938, and shows Bernard’s father. This photo was taken before the November Pogrom, also known as Kristallnacht, and before his imprisonment in Buchenwald Concentration Camp. Bernard’s father was murdered by the Nazi regime, along with his mother and sister. Bernard was sent to England on the Kindertransport to escape Nazi persecution, he would never see his family again.
