Information: This photograph forms part of the Ruth David Collection. It is from a collection of almost fifty photographs depicting Ruth's family over an extended period of time, from long before Ruth's birth in the late 1920s, through to the 1940s. Ruth's family were Jewish and lived in Germany.

Further Information

This photograph was taken by Ruth David's aunt Liese. Liese was the sister of Ruth's mother, Margarete, who is in the centre of the picture standing behind three of her children. Ruth is on the left of the picture, her younger brother Michael is in the middle, and her elder sister Hannah is on the right. This picture was taken in the family garden where they lived in Fränkisch-Crumbach, Germany. The picture was taken in the early 1930s before Ruth's youngest sister Feo was born.
