Director of Learning

Main Responsibility

To lead the development of the learning strategy and the content of the seperate strands of the learning programmes offered to academic institutions.

Background

James was educated at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth, University of Nottingham and Nottingham Trent University.

James spent over ten years teaching at secondary schools prior to joining the Centre. In 2001 he joined Garibaldi College and held the posts of Head of History and Head of Humanities. In 2009 he joined the Brunts Academy and in 2010 became an Assistant Headteacher.

James was appointed to the post of Director of Learning in January 2013 and is developing bespoke learning programmes for schools which incorporate the latest learning pedagogies.
