The Journey Online The Journey Online Want to explore The Journey digitally? Our online learning programmes are a great way for primary aged children to access Leo’s story, our exhibition and survivor testimony. The Journey Online is an educator led programme that includes 'Leo's Journey' and a survivor testimony talk. Option 1 - Leo's Journey and survivor talk Leo's Journey is based around our exhibition about a 10-year old Jewish boy called Leo who lives in 1930s Berlin. During the workshop we discuss: Jewish life before WWII Issues around identity The increase in persecution The role of propaganda School life in Nazi Germany Leo’s eventual departure as a refugee on the Kindertransport to the UK. The survivor testimony is a one hour talk with a Holocaust survivor who will share their experience and answer questions from your class. We provide all the resources for the session including pre and post lessons. The final hour is a creative writing session which has been planned in collaboration with award winning children’s author Tom Palmer (https://tompalmer.co.uk/ ) to help your pupils consolidate their WW2/Holocaust learning in an engaging way by encouraging a creative response to the morning’s learning and thinking about what it means for today.
