Matthew Mellor has worked in Higher Education ever since his graduation from Oxford in 1992.  He has principally worked in fundraising, where he has assisted and led successful campaigns on a range of capital and endowment projects, securing major donations in a wide range of jurisdictions.  He has chaired numerous boards and committees in Cambridge, as well as run a successful After School Club, turning its finances and reputation around completely, in that city.  He is committed to education and research at all levels and while not an academic, his objective is to ensure that high quality teaching and research is properly funded.

Matthew has three children, is a keen birdwatcher and wine-taster and loves cricket.
