Remembering, Listening, Learning: An opportunity for you to visit the National Holocaust Centre and Museum

This day enables members to explore the history of the Holocaust, and consider lessons it may present to society today. The key question posed for consideration throughout the

What, if anything, can be learnt from the Holocaust?

A variety of workshops will address both the ways in which the Holocaust has been remembered and presented, and explore questions which the Holocaust may pose for today. Members will visit the Holocaust exhibition and Memorial gardens. The most memorable aspect of the day will, undoubtedly, be the opportunity to listen to the testimony of a Holocaust survivor. 

Programme for the Day

10.00-10.15 Tea and Coffee served on arrival
10.15-10.45 Introduction
10.45-11.30 Holocaust exhibition and Memorial gardens
11.30-11.45 Coffee break
11.45-12.30 Workshop 1, Delegates may select one from a choice of three workshops:
Faith and the Holocaust, Art and the Holocaust, Literature and the Holocaust
12.30-1.15 Lunch
1.15-2.00 Workshop 2, Delegates may select one from a choice of three workshops:
The Role of Perpetrators; Resistors and Rescuers; Challenges for today
2.00-3.30 Sharing of testimony from a survivor of the Holocaust
3.30-4.00 Reflections
