Survivors, Founders, Dignitaries and Friends came together at the Centre to celebrate the 21st Anniversary of the Centre's opening in 1995.  The event included an interview by Dr James Smith with Eva Schloss and also the UK opening of her mobile exhibition, 'The Promise'.

Proceedings began with 'Tikkun Olam', a song both composed and performed by Dr Stephen Smith for the opening ceremony of Beth Shalom in 1995.  'Tikkun Olam' or 'Time to Mend a Broken World' symbolises the commitment of the Smith family to respond to the pain of Survival.

Henry Grunwald OBE KC, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, delivered the opening address, welcoming the guests.

Dr James Smith introduced Eva's testimony.

Dr James Smith CBE joined with Eva Schloss to share the stage and conduct a very interesting interview about her experiences during the Holocaust, the wonderful way the exhibition came about and her testimony.

Rabbi Tanya Sakhnovich led the Kaddish.

Dr Marina Smith MBE conducted the memorial candle-lighting.

Phil Lyons MBE spoke of the future plans of the Centre and invited everyone present to see Eva's mobile exhibition, 'The Promise', being unveiled in the Ronson Building in memory of her brother, Heinz.

Eva opened the exhibition and is seen here with one of her brother's paintings.

Visitors looked with interest at Eva's story to learn about 'The Promise'.

Eva signed copies of her book for the guests.
