David Lipman has been a Trustee since 2010. He has lived all his life in Nottinghamshire, except for periods of National Service in the Army, University and training in London as a Solicitor.   He practised in Nottingham, becoming Chairman of Industrial Tribunals and, for the last ten years of his working life, a District Judge.

With his late wife he was a founder member of Nottingham Liberal Synagogue and ultimately became Chairman of the national organisation of Liberal Synagogues,  Liberal Judaism, of which he is a Vice President.  He was also Chairman of the European Region of the World Union for Progressive Judaism.

David has three children, all married, and five grandchildren. He watches cricket at that most beautiful of grounds, Trent Bridge, and worries about Notts County’s results.
