This year we have joined forces with the charity Stop Hate UK to deliver a national project aimed at young people in vulnerable communities. Kelly Scott is our newly recruited educator who has been championing the project in schools, alongside Angela Wright from Stop Hate UK, and empowering young people to challenge hate in their communities.

Over 6,000 students have been attending workshops on myth busting, stereotyping, prejudice and how hate manifests online. Additionally, this September, student ambassadors will be attending our No to Hate Days and sharing their learning creatively on you tube.

The project’s outputs will be a national toolkit for schools to use when educating young people about where hate can lead. We will be publishing film footage of students' work from this project during Hate Crime Awareness Week (12-19 October), so keep your eyes peeled. 

Stop Hate UK has also just launched a helpline titled Call Hate Out that provides young people with all the relevant online methods and platforms to report Hate Crime and get the help they need. You can find out more here: https://www.stophateuk.org/2019/07/07/call-hate-out/
