The Centre supports the UKHMF’s plans to create a permanent Holocaust memorial to reaffirm the UK’s commitment to standing up against antisemitism, prejudice and hatred.

The siting of the memorial in Westminster is appropriate and symbolic. We welcome the Foundation’s intention to work with other institutions across the UK to support Holocaust education and commemoration.

As the UK’s first accredited national museum dedicated to Holocaust remembrance and education, the Centre has a track record of developing innovative approaches that communicate the lessons of the Holocaust with impact and in a way that inspires people to stand up, take action and create a safer world.

We hope and expect that UKHMF will work with us to utilise our expertise, content and artefacts whilst ensuring that the benefits of a permanent memorial and learning centre in London can be shared across the country and further afield.
