Further Information This photograph shows Jopie Vedder sitting with her partner, Mr. M. Parijs-van Beezem. Whilst Jopie was not Jewish, her partner was Jewish and the pair lived together in Amsterdam during the Nazi occupation of The Netherlands. Mr. Parijs-van Beezem was arrested by the Nazi regime, although the circumstances of his death remain unknown he did not survive the Holocaust. Jopie lived to over 100 years old, she never married nor had another partner.
