Holocaust Memorial Day 2019 - Torn From Home

This year's event was in two parts.  First of all, there was a performance of the play, Yizkor, and this was followed by a memorial commemoration.

The play was based on the lives of Ibi and Val Ginsburg who for so many years were Survivor Speakers at the Centre.  As Dr James Smith commented in his closing remarks in the commemoration, "It was very moving to hear recordings of them speaking here again".  The play vividly portrayed the HMD theme for this year, 'Torn From Home'.
